Our History
Varekamp Coldstores was established in 's-Gravenzande in 1953 as a family business for the refrigerated storage of grapes grown in the horticultural region of "Westland". In 2001, Varekamp moved to its present location at Agri Business Centre Westland, Poeldijk. At the beginning of 2022, Varekamp Coldstores Holland B.V. (VCH) was taken over by Europe Retail Packing B.V. (ERP) and Nowee Fresh Logistics BV, Willem Nowee, who has been managing director of the company for the past 20 years.

ERP has been the leading packaging specialist for importers and exporters of fresh produce for 20 years. ERP handles your fruit and veg at five locations in The Netherlands, with more than 60 production lines, ripening cells and sophisticated sorting lines. Their product specialists can advise you on the best packaging solution for your product based on the food miles. Europe Retail Packing specialises in packing and sorting sweet potatoes, citrus, blueberries, grapes, fresh herbs, fine vegetables, exotics and greenhouse vegetables.
ERP’s Poeldijk location
Varekamp Coldstores Holland and the ERP headquarters are located at an agribusiness centre with approx. 60 other companies involved in our fresh products business.
ERP Poeldijk operates at two sites with extensive packaging machinery, cold rooms, ripening rooms and two state-of-the-art Aweta-sorting lines for avocados and mangoes.
As a combination of ERP and Varekamp Coldstores Holland, we can offer our customers the complete full-service package from ‘harbour to consumer’. Customs, transport, storage, packaging, ripening... You name it; we can handle it. Truly one-stop shopping!
